Data link network operational status - update June 2018

Overall provider abort rate

This figure shows the Provider Abort (PA), this means disconnections in air/ground data communication, rate <O-23> aggregated for all Air Navigation Service Providers providing data to LISAT *(Currently MUAC, Skyguide, DFS, NATS, ANS CZ. Data from DSNA is being validated). The target value is 1 PA per 100 hours Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), this is a means of communication between an air traffic controller and a pilot, using data link for Air Traffic Control communications (shown as a dashed line on the graph). The overal average rate for June 2018 was 6.0 PAs per 100 hours.

Technical round trip delay

This figure shows the 95th and 99th percentile of the technical round trip delay <O-2><O-3>. It represents the delay between when a message is uplinked and its corresponding application level acknowledgement is received by the ground system (aggregated for all systems providing data to LISAT*).
